THIS IS ME
Hi, I’m David Robertson. I’m the founder of My Virtual Mentor, and creator of My Journey, a map to your best spiritual growth year ever. My passion in life is to lead men to go further faster in their faith.
I have been married to my wife, Monica, for over thirty years. Monica is the founder of a Christian counseling center and author of two books on spiritual warfare. Together we have one adult daughter, Abigail Grace. We currently reside in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
If you’re reading this, then chances are good that you have come to a place where you desire to take your spiritual life to the next level. That’s where I believe I can help.
As a certified Life Coach and licensed minister, I have a passion for helping men experience transformation in the areas of spiritual growth, biblical manhood, and sexual purity. For that reason, I have created a personalized online discipleship experience designed to expedite your spiritual journey and transform you into the man God has called you to be.
MVM curates the best Christian content on the Web to equip you to become the best version of you in the “Secret Place” (your spiritual life), the “Gathering Place” (your ministry life), and in the”Public Place” (your community life).
I am an avid triathlete. I typically train 5-6 days each week. I try to do a couple of Olympic distances per year. For many years, I led a group of up to twelve men in The Ironman Challenge, a triathlon-based deep dive into biblical manhood that I designed.
My wife and I are animal lovers and our home almost always has some non-human creature in it. Monica and I enjoy watching crime dramas together like NCIS (what’s up Agent Gibbs?), Blue Bloods (Frank, you’re an awesome P.C.), The Blacklist (Red, you remain a mystery), and 24 (Jack Bauer, you are the man!)
We love movies too. My favorites include The Italian Job, The Prestige, Facing the Giants, Courageous, Flywheel, Interstellar, Wonder, and movie series like Mission Impossible, Lord of the Rings, and Chronicles of Narnia. Of course, Bourne and Bond make the list as well.
My favorite authors include John Maxwell, Craig Groeschel, Michael Hyatt, Andy Stanley, and Brian Hardin. I am also am a raving fan of podcasts and YouTube channels. I subscribe to several amazing speakers to help me to continue to be a lifetime learner.
I currently am legally blind contending with an eye disease call Retinitis Pigmentosa. Helen Keller once said, “The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision.” Instead of being sidelined by my disability, I have chosen to pursue a worldwide vision to lead men to go further faster in their faith using a webcam, a website, and a wonderful group of men hungry for spiritual transformation.
