To maintain consistency and growth in our prayer life, we need to get back to ‘basics’ sometimes. It’s like this – when a famous sportsman doesn’t perform well, what does his/her coach suggest? The advice would be to get back to basics and practice. No wonder Paul compares our life to a race. When our basics are refreshed, our relationship with God is renewed, our perspective is heightened, our expectations get bolder and our intimacy with our God is deepened when we pause to contemplate on Him, the Author and Finisher of our faith. May this focus on prayer basics leave you thirsting for more of Him. Stay passionate, stay blessed!
